To remove old seal – drill 2 holes opposite of each other. Then tap each hole. While turning tap, seal should come up.

Otherwise just cut out seal.

To install – Axle should be in Drive housing. Use a thin piece of high durometer flexible plastic shim-style stock,
cut it to the same id as the rubber seal so it expands just a hair like a sleeve,
then seal slides right into place by tapping it in and the slip the shim out.”
